Principle:

The principle is simple: use the slitting & rewinding machine to cut the thermal jumbo rolls into your desired small thermal roll sizes.

Materials You Need:

• One slitting & rewinding machine
• Jumbo thermal paper rolls
• Paper or plastic cores
• One forklift
• One experienced worker
• Some packaging accessories (glue, POF film, tapes, cartons, etc.)

Producing Process:

1. Lift the jumbo roll on the slitting machine

You can use a forklift or other mechanical equipment to lift the jumbo rolls onto the slitting machine. Some of the regular jumbo roll sizes are:

• 405mm x 6000m
• 558mm x 8000m
• 565mm x 9000m
• 636mm x 8000m
• 790mm x 12000m
• 795mm x 12000m

Choose the correct jumbo roll sizes according to the small roll sizes you want. For example, if you want to produce an 80mm width thermal roll, you can use the 405mm, 558mm, or 636mm width jumbo roll. If you want to produce a 57mm width thermal roll size, you need to use a 565mm jumbo roll. Yes, make sure the jumbo roll and small roll sizes are divided exactly.

2. Adjust the blades

To produce 80mm width thermal paper rolls, in this step, we will adjust the blade distance to be 79mm. Please note the distance should be exactly 79mm, not 80mm, since the actual roll size is smaller than the marked size. For example, if you have an Epson printer that uses 80mm rolls, your actual roll width will be 79mm to ensure the rolls run smoothly in the printer.

With the same principle, for 57mm width thermal paper rolls, we usually make the width at 56mm literally.

3. Turn on the slitting machine

Be sure the jumbo roll is stable in the shaft, and then you can start the engine. The slitting machine will automatically cut the jumbo rolls into small rolls. Keep an eye on the digital counter to monitor the length of the rolls so you can get your desired paper roll size. All these operations can be handled well by one experienced worker.
